Ms. Gunjan Singh

I am a Doctoral student at the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. I have completed my M.Phil. from the same Centre and hold a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. My expertise lies in promoting the holistic development of children and their related factors such as caregiving, early care etc., which I believe can be achieved through multidisciplinary approaches. Currently, I am working with the Anthropos India Foundation to address crucial aspects of children's lives that remain unexplored and unaddressed. These include issues such as the rights of children living in diverse geo-political situations and contemporary challenges affecting children. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute towards AIF’s Newsletter, its digital magazine ‘Childhood Matters’, and being able to contribute towards workshops that enable me to broaden my horizons and gain new perspectives.

Ms. Manya Singh

With a Master's degree in Disaster Studies and currently pursuing another in Sociology, I am exploring the intersection of Anthropology and Child Rights at Anthropos India Foundation. I believe in empowering children, which is why I enjoy painting their stories on canvas and challenging societal stereotypes through conversations. At AIF, I am a story-teller and a listener, striving to catalyse change. Together, we explore anthropology while advocating for children's rights, one story at a time. Hope you will all join me on this journey towards cultivating inclusivity and understanding.

Ms. Ann Terin Saji

I am  a curious soul with a deep-rooted interest in understanding the complexities of human interaction. After completing my Master's in Sociology at Ambedkar University, Delhi, I am currently exploring the fascinating world of social research at AIF. Before diving into my doctoral studies, I am eager to connect with diverse communities and uncover the commonalities that unite us all. I am a keen observer with a love for engaging conversations. I am particularly drawn to exploring the interplay between identity, culture, and ritual. My master's thesis on Syrian Christian funeral services offered a fascinating glimpse into the theatrics of religious practices. With a thirst for knowledge from books and real-life experiences, I am excited to contribute to AIF's legacy of fostering learning and research. As I navigate this exciting phase of my academic journey, I am eager to discover my area of expertise and hone my research and writing skills.

Mr. Subham Kundu

I hold an MA in Anthropology and have developed a deep passion for understanding and addressing the complexities faced by marginalized groups. My academic journey has been marked by a focused interest in the well-being of vulnerable populations, including children, tribal communities, and women, with particular attention to their health, education, and social inclusion. I have conducted extensive research in environmental gerontology, exploring how environmental factors—such as access to green spaces—affect the aging process especially in the semi-urban areas. This research has provided me with valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by elderly populations, informing his broader interest in how social and environmental determinants influence the health and quality of life of marginalized groups.
