About the Workshop
2nd Workshop in the Series!
Our first edition in Bhopal brought together 40 participants from 14 institutions, and now we are back with an even richer experience.
This 3-day workshop introduces key methods of ethnographic research and cultural documentation through lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice.
Participants will gain hands-on orientation in
- Introduction to ethnography and fieldwork
- Participant observation and field notes
- PRA Techniques
- Visual documentation (photography and video)
- AI in Ethnography
- Ethical issues in ethnographic research
- Half-day guided field visit to Rampura Village - M. N. Srinivas’s The Remembered Village
Workshop Fee
₹6000 – Residential (includes accommodation + food + workshop material)
₹4000 – Non-residential (includes lunch only + workshop material)
All participants must arrange their own travel.
